I have heard about mobile search and its importance for the last 2 years, that is as long as I have been in Search. I never thought it would catch on, but lately I have changed my tune. These are the top 5 reasons why I have changed my point of view.

1. Phones are now mini computers

2. Searching for a product or service in a new town or on vacation has now become simple

3. Speed - With computers and Video games my generation and the 18-24 have become very impatient - want it now not later

4. Ease of use - With Iphone and Blackberry’s it is very simple to browse the SERPS

5. Advertising - Now an ad can be displayed wherever you are

I truly rely on my blackberry for everything, information, schedule, email, contacts, and looking for products and services. With mobile search getting better, I will use this more and more into the future.
