February 12^th, I found out that one of our team members, Tony Rugely, had been hospitalized with a perforated appendix. This was very sad news to hear about my colleague. Since then, a group from the office went to go visit him. He was in good spirits but was very soft spoken. Tony is a real trooper, as he asked about work; even in his condition. Steve Peron mentioned something about Tony not shaving and that in a move of team unity, all the guys in the office should not shave. Since then, two team members have admitted to shaving (no names will be disclosed). As of Friday the 15^th of February, an official email had been sent throughout the office to help Tony out. This is how “Beards for the Cause” was founded. After Dan Redman (king of media) asked me to send out an office email, it was on. The following is what has been officially requested:

Per Steve Peron’s request after seeing Tony with a beard in the hospital, he has challenged the guys to not shave until Tony has been back in the office for one day. This is an act of unity for our fallen team member. If you choose to take this mission you will have withhold any shaving even if your girl threatens you with taking away “down hill skiing” – or starts yelling, (this could occur)! Remember this is for Tony… Content writers please be kind with the grammar in this email as it is not about me; it is about supporting Tony…

I will have silicon wrist bands for sale that say “Real Men Wear Beards” and “Committed to Beards.” All funds will be used to help Tony’s hospital bill and to purchase peanut M&M’s and Camel Lights for Tony (I don’t support smoking, but I do support Tony).
